Bigger, Faster, Stronger.

About Us

Accelerate Trampoline Club is based in our own centres in Wellington and Willand, Blackbrook Leisure Centre in Taunton and Taunton School. As a not for profit organisation, any profit made is reinvested into the club for the benefit of all its members.

Trampolining with Accelerate offers the opportunity to make friends, become active and learn important skills like trust, and perseverance in a fun, safe and engaging environment.

Head coach Jacob Turner has worked with many competitive trampolinists and has a record of success from Regional level to high level National athletes as well as International European Medalists. He is also a long standing member of the South West coaching team and has trained the athletes ready for competition for many years. He is now looking to build a group of competitive trampolinists from Somerset and Devon.

FAQ’s

How do I book a place?

First email us at info@acceleratetrampoline.co.uk asking for a place in our sessions and what time is preferable for your child to bounce. We will then ask for a few details, for example, age of your child and if they have any additional learning needs. From there we will set up your trial session.

What do I need to wear to the sessions?

You will need to wear comfortable clothes that allow free movement. Some examples of what to wear are: shorts, leggings, tracksuit bottoms. You will also need to make sure you have socks when you come to the session. You will need to make sure all jewellery is removed and you have long hair is tied back.

What safety measures are in place to protect my child?

Safety is Accelerate’s primary concern. We minimise risks through practicing safe coaching. Every one of our coaches is fully qualified to teach the skills they are working with and understand all the safety considerations. We will teach every skill correctly and reinforce the basics. All this is done with good matting and other coaching tools.

In the current climate, Covid security is also a big part of our risk assessments. All sessions will be socially distanced and equipment will be sanitised between sessions.

What are the benefits of trampoline?

Trampolining is an extremely dynamic sport that builds fitness whilst being fun. At Accelerate, your child will be improving physical skills such as strength, flexibility and spatial awareness whilst making friends in a fun and welcoming environment. The sport also helps develop self-confidence, perseverance, patience and commitment.

How do I pay for the sessions?

You can book a trial. This is so your child can decide if they like it before having to commit to paying a set monthly fee for any sessions.

Am I allowed to come in to watch my child bounce?

In normal circumstances, you are welcome to come into the hall and watch your child bounce. However with the current Covid 19 restrictions, we are only able to have a certain amount of people in the hall at one time. This means that until Covid restrictions are eased, we are not able to have parents in the building.
